James Rodriguez might be leaving Real Madrid in the summer

Real Madrid’s striker James Rodrigues has been deemed as being surplus to requirement by the Spanish team and as such might be allowed to leave over the summer.

Indeed, the player has only managed to make 31 appearances this season most of which have come as substitutes.

It is believed that Manchester United is one of the clubs that might be interested in signing James Rodriguez over the summer. The Red Devils are looking to bolster their attack as they look for players that will allow them to challenge for the Premier League title. This season they have shown an overreliance on young players such as Rashford as well as Martial, and they will want to have a more seasoned striker to lead their line.

However, the English team might face opposition from Juventus. Indeed, there are media reports that the Italian club might be interested in signing the Colombian international as they seek to strengthen their strike options ahead of the new season.

It is believed that Juventus already held a meeting with the player and that they have already opened discussions with him over a possible move in the summer. There are reports that James Rodriguez has already put his Spain home up for rent, and this has strengthened rumors that he might be leaving in the summer.

It is also reported that Arsenal, as well as Manchester City, might also be interested in signing Rodriguez

The Colombian striker joined Real Madrid in 2014 after having made a brilliant performance at the 2014 World Cup. Indeed, he finished the tournament as the best scorer but has failed to replicate this form in Spain.

The Real Madrid player will be representing his country at the Copa America in the summer but has also signified his intention of playing in the Olympics.
